Council Amalgamations

Our Survey for residents wanting to have a say (http://yoursayrandwick.com.au/future) has closed, but there may still be an opportunity for the Chamber to submit a collective vote for consideration by Council in the next few weeks.

Basically, Council MUST amalgamate with one or several of the surrounding Councils, even though they don’t want to, and the only thing to decide now is which combination of Councils is going to be the most advantageous to Randwick. Council has to submit their business plan and preferred option by June this year; it is believed the Council have their own ideas, but are keeping their cards close to their chest. Each option is detailed on the aforementioned website, along with the pros and cons.
