About The Chamber

The Maroubra & Districts Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest Chambers in Australia. Over the years we have made some outstanding contributions to the local business community.

The Chamber is a group of business people from Maroubra (including Maroubra Junction, Maroubra Beach, the South Maroubra Shopping Village, Duffy’s Corner, Lurline Bay and Malabar Road), and adjoining districts, together with representatives of local community groups (especially the Rotary Club of Maroubra). We hold “gatherings” (less formal than “meetings) throughout the year.

Our Chamber Gatherings are for members and guests, giving you the opportunity to find out what is going on in your local area, and discuss Chamber matters.

We encourage you to come along to a gathering to see the benefits of being a Maroubra Chamber member first hand. At these gatherings, people meet to discuss ways to improve, promote and support our businesses and community. It is an opportunity to talk with other business owners and get to know where they are situated and what they do and what their business offers in a relaxed non-pressure environment. Our events include ‘Meet & Greet’, set topics, and sometimes a guest speaker. Our topics include information sesions, trending topics, or council, state & federal government issues, local transport and environmental issues or concerns about local issues around Maroubra.

Many members are “go getters” and if they can help, they will go out of their way to do so. We encourage you to promote your businesses at the gatherings and swap business cards and flyers.

The Chamber also organises the annual Maroubra Fun Run (see www.MaroubraFunRun.com.au).
